2018 IPC 604.8 Water Pressure reducing valve or regulator. Where water pressure within a building exceeds 80 psi static, an approved water-pressure reducing valve conforming to ASSE 1003 or CSA B356 with strainer shall be installed to reduce the pressure in the building water distribution piping to not greater than 80 psi static.

Up-blast fans serving Type I hoods and installed in a vertical or horizontal position shall be hinged and supplied with a flexible weatherproof electrical cable to permit inspection and cleaning and shall be equipped with a means of restraint to limit the swing of the fan on its hinge. The ductwork shall extend not less than 18 inches above the roof surface.
