On Friday, 5-01-2020, Contractor Earth Works began boring for the 12” water main tie-in under US 150 Hwy. Contractor encountered a 16” water main that was abandoned. The main was approx. 2” to 3” in the line of the new 12” water main boring location. Kevin Sherrett the design engineer and Steve Robbins of Lee Summit were notified and were present on project site when contractor was directed by the city to cut into the 16” main to make sure the main was abandoned. Line was abandoned and contractor completed installation of the casing insert underneath the roadway.

On Monday, 4-20-2020, Contractor Earth Works began testing of Sanitary Sewers beginning at MH # B-4. The vacuum for the man hole and the 8” pipe between Str. B-4 and B-5 passed testing. The Mandrel test also passed. Contractor moved to MH # B-5. Vacuum test passed for Manhole but there was debris in the line between B-5 and B-6 and test Failed. Debris was also in the D line. Testing was stopped and the contractor was told to check all of the Sewer lines on the project for blockages before we resumed any more testing.

Contractor (Clifford) resumed excavating for new swales and (2) Field inlets were cut down to meet new design elevations. On Thursday, 9-02-2021. The contractor resumed excavation for the swales. On Tuesday, 9-07-2021. Contractor resumed swale installation. On Wednesday, 9-08-2021. The Contractor resumed swale installation and has stop short of the 0+00 sta. The contractor has stopped at box 01-D which is about 280 LF short from the beginning of the swale. Contractor was told to only complete the swale at box 01-D.
