This morning Winwater did a water tap on the 8" main for the 6" fire line. Gene Williams approved this water tap. The contractor did a pressure test. . The bore was done last week with the 6" fire line going under the road. This afternoon they will connect the pipe to the valve that was installed next to the tap. They have installed the stainless steel spacers for the encasement and the end seal has been installed. I am leaving for the day and they are planning on backfilling this afternoon. The contractor has to order a new base for MH 1-1 because the pipe will not line up comin out of the MH. The bore is completed and the pipe is in the steel encasement and the have installed the spacers.They are going to work on water and storm while they wait for the MH.

The core drill into MH existing MH 1-1 was done this morning, the approved a-lok boot has been installed and the connection has been made with the 8" sanitary pipe. They have installed the stainless steel spacers for the encasement and the end seal has been installed. I am leaving for the day and they are planning on backfilling this afternoon. The sidewalk does not meet ADA guidelines. The ADA ramp going east toward kessler dr. that comes out to the parking lot is not compliant, the slope is over 8.33%. They are going to take out 2 sections so they can achieve the correct slope. Olsen testing came out and decided that the rock that was hit during installation of the storm and sanitary made a path for the water to get to the area that sunk. They dug down about 10-12 ft. and installed rip-rap on the bottom and then finished with mo-type3 that was compacted in lifts. There is also a few other areas that did the same thing.
