Corrective Action Required
Shut-down of the 16 inch line to install valves and to make the connection will likely require night work or after-hours work in order to minimize impact to water customers. Please add notes to the plans stating that this work shall be coordinated with the Development Services inspector, and night work or after-hours work shall be completed within 8 hours of shutdown.

Corrective Action Required
Sheet 511: Profile view shows a 12" by 8" tee, which conflicts with the plan view showing a 16" by 8" tee. Please reconcile.

The existing fire hydrant on the west end of Maguire Blvd. is shown as an offset fire hydrant. A spot-check of the as-built Record Drawings for this fire hydrant shows what appears to be a temporary inline fire hydrant. Please add sufficient notes on the plans for the relocation of this temporary inline fire hydrant, and conversion of the existing fire hydrant to an offset design. Please revise.

Corrective Action Required
A trenching and backfill detail was not shown. Although not caught during the previous review, the MDNR typically will not approve of water line plans without a trenching and backfill detail. Please provide a trenching and backfill detail, including the new July 2020 requirement for 12 inches aggregate over the top of pipe.

Please refer to the previous applicant letter comment #1. It does not appear the question was answered. Is the tie-in line at Hagan a 16 inch line, or a 12 inch line? The response to comments states "this was not field verified". The original question asked whether Record Drawings were consulted to make this determination. Please reconcile.

Corrective Action Required
If the above line is a 12 inch line, a gate valve shall be installed rather than a butterfly valve. This was recently changed in the Design and Constructon Manual, and it should also be noted the lack of availability of 12 inch butterfly valves at the moment due to supply chain issues. Please revise.

Corrective Action Required
Please revise the cost estimate to reflect the changes and revisions made to the plans, and please include restoration costs associated with the placement of water main along the north side of Maguire Blvd. along the existing business west of Lot 1. Finally please include the cost associated with the cut-in tee at Hagan, and cutting-in the new valve to the south of Maguire at Hagan.

Corrective Action Required
According to our GIS, we are showing a 16 inch line at Hagan rather than a 12 inch line. Was this determined using as-builts? Please reconcile.

Corrective Action Required
In commercial, industrial, and apartment house areas, fire hydrants shall be provided so
that in no case shall more than 300 feet of fire hose, using an approved route, be required
to reach any point at the base of any exterior building wall from the nearest fire hydrant to
supply the stipulated fire flow. Please review and ensure these conditions are met for all future customers. It appears at least one (1) additional fire hydrant is required, and it also appears the spacing needs to be adjusted.

Corrective Action Required
Plan view of water line does not appear to show locations of bends in vicinity of Cargo and Maguire. It appears there is a reliance on bending the pipe to fit. This is not allowed. The only deflection that may be allowed is within the joint itself, and only 1 degree of deflection is allowed in that case. This equates to roughly a 1200 foot radius of curvature. No bend is allowed within the body of the pipe itself, as this degrades the pipe and lessens the life of the pipe. Please show the location of all bends on the plan view, along with the magnitude of the bend.

|
Corrective Action Required
Sheet C-512: Will a vertical bend be required at this location? It is difficult to determine based on the exaggrerated vertical scale. Please see above comments concerning deflection of pipe.
