The pressure did not drop below 200psi for 2 hours. Reminded Kevin that the they need to replace the wooden blocks under the valves with concrete blocks and get the right grate for the BFP vault.

Matt Munger 11/08/2017 2:47 PM I observed workers pouring the curbs with a machine. I verified that they are using KCMMB 4K mix and got the ticket. I asked that they use a blanket on the curbs due to the temperatures, the worker stated that the Contractor would take care of that. Also told him to make sure they have 3" deep contraction joints approximatley at 10ft intervals. The finish that I could see was smooth as well.

I Informed Keith that Blue Valley Labs would have to come in on saturday if we take samples Thursday and Friday and that Blue Valley will charge them $100.00 for having to come in on a Saturday to pull samples. I contacted Blue Valley Labs to see if they could have an employee come in Saturday to pull samples. The lady on phone took my info down and told me they would have the lady that would possibly be in call me Tuesday afternoon.

I observed no devices in place in the curb inlets along the NE Akin Dr. Per the plans the Contractor is supposed to maintain inlet protection along Akin Drive per city of Lee's Summit standards. It appears there is a 3rd construction entrance being used that doesnt not have gravel in place (tire tracks leaving the site). If the opening is going to be used as an entrance (not on the plans) there needs to be a proper construction entrance in place. If the area is not going to be used as an construction entrance a silt fence needs to be put in place to prevent silt from getting onto the road and into the curb inlets. These issues need to be taken care of soon as possible or you will be in violation and a stop work order issued.

Some sections of the curbs that were hand poured need to have grout in place where honeycomb is present. I called Scott and spoke with him about the curb gutters in the driveway approaches and spoke with him about making sure the curbs that have honeycomb get grouted.

I contacted Scott Fischer and told him the SW driveway approach needs to have some work done in the middle to allow 8" of concrete throughout the driveway approach. I also informed Scott that there is plans for sidewalks to go through the driveway approaches and that they need to carry a 1.5% cross slope throughout driveway approach inside of the 5ft wide walking space throughout the driveway approach. The NW driveway approach was not ready at this time, I told Scott to let me know when they are going to be ready to pour that approach.

I talked with the contractors earlier in the week about the temperature being too cold to pour concrete, they told me they would not pour. The contractors have been forming and putting in re-bar for the ramp leading into the building. I drove by this morning and they were brooming the ramp they had poured earlier this morning, they told me the boss said to pour it anyway. I got here at 9:00 this morning and they have 3 concrete trucks and have been pouring, the temperature was 30 degrees when I got here. The ground seems to be frozen. I just talked with Scott Fischer about the concrete situation and he said he will make the concrete crew aware of our concern. I let him know what they are doing does not meet our standards for concrete. It appears there is a 3rd construction entrance being used that doesnt not have gravel in place (tire tracks leaving the site). If the opening is going to be used as an entrance (not on the plans) there needs to be a proper construction entrance in place. If the area is not going to be used as an construction entrance a silt fence needs to be put in place to prevent silt from getting onto the road and into the curb inlets. These issues need to be taken care of soon as possible or you will be in violation and a stop work order issued.

  • Recommended naming conventions:
    • Keep filename consistent.
    • Avoid the use of non-friendly filenames. (ex. k9dk38fj3.pdf)
    • Avoid inappropriate language in filenames.
  • Submitted documents will be stamped at the conclusion of the review.
    • The stamp will be placed in the upper right hand corner of the document. It is recommeded that this area, to the extent possible, be left blank so that no information is lost when the the stamp is applied.
