The Police Department does not support the closing of SW Market St for the proposed event. Police would support shifting the event to SW Main St due to that option having less of an impact on downtown traffic circulation and access.

Lots of issues with this submittal. Not enough detail on their "map". They show carnival rides and parking in the same area, which is not very large. Need to shut off an entire block and provide a detour. If only part of a block is closed, need to allow for vehicles to turn onto another road rather than a u-turn.

We only need two ADA spaces to make up for the ones in front of the station, but they both need to be Van-Accessible. I like the idea of using the bank spaces since they are already signed and striped and van-accessible. The other option is fine, but you will need an access aisle between two ADA spaces left open. Either way, the path from the ADA spaces to the station access must be kept clear, including cords. There's not really a traffic control plan, but make sure that all areas are closed by barricades so that vehicles cannot accidentally drive in. Your plan does not show anything closing Main at 3rd Street.
