The fire code official shall have the authority to require construction documents and calculations for all fire protection systems and to require permits be issued for the installation, rehabilitation or modification of any fire protection system. Installation acceptance testing

2018 IFC 901.5- Installation acceptance testing. Fire detection and alarm systems, fire-extinguishing systems, fire hydrant systems, fire standpipe systems, fire pump systems, private fire service mains and all other fire protection systems and appurtenances thereto shall be subject to acceptance tests as contained in the installation standards and as approved by the fire code official. The fire code official shall be notified before any required acceptance testing. The fire code official shall be notified 48 hours before any required acceptance test.
A viual inspection will be completed at the occupancy inspection.

Fire detection, alarm and extinguishing systems shall be maintained in an operative condition at all times, and shall be replaced or repaired where defective. Not required fire protection systems and equipment shall be inspected, tested and maintained or removed.
THe existing system shall have a current annual inspection. Verified at inspection.

IMC 507.3 Type II hoods where required
2018 IMC 507.3 Type II hoods. Type II hoods shall be installed above dishwashers and appliances that produce heat or moisture and do not produce grease or smoke as a result of the cooking process, except where the heat and moisture loads from such appliances are incorporated into the HVAC system design or into the design of a separate removal system. (see code section for more specific requirements)
Action required: Provide hood over oven or provide verification that unit meets exception. (rated for non-vented and hvac design compensates for heat and humidity)

2018 IPC 802.1 Where required. Food-handling equipment, in other than dwelling units, clear-water waste, humidifiers, dish-washing machines and utensils, pots, pans and dishwashing sinks shall discharge though an indirect waste pipe as specified in Sections 802.1.1 through 802.1.8. Fixtures not required to be indirectly connected by this section and the exception to Section 301.6 shall be directly connected to the plumbing system in accordance with Chapter 7.

Lee's Summit Code of Ordinance, Section7-130.10 - Business License. It shall be unlawful for any person to engage in the construction contracting business without first obtaining a business license as required under the applicable provisions of Chapter 28 of the Lee's Summit Code of Ordinances.
