STRUCTURAL ALTERATION PERMIT. Staff acknowledges the most recent response indicating that: - the tower owner, American Tower Corporation, will submit for a structural alteration permit through the City; - the tower owner will provide documentation to indicate that the necessary antenna mount modification has been completed; and - the tower owner will provide documentation of passage of a third-party inspection for the antenna mount modifications. Staff cannot issue approval of the final development plan application authorizing the wireless equipment upgrades until the necessary permit is obtained, the antenna mount modification is completed and the City receives documentation showing that the antenna mount modification has passed a third-party inspection.

TOWER INSPECTION REPORT. A physical inspection report conducted within the last three years shall be provided.

STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS REPORT. The report dated April 20, 2018, indicates that the existing tower design cannot support the proposed equipment improvements, but that the tower and foundation can support the improvements if certain prescribed tower modifications are made. (A Modification Design dated May 4, 2018, was also provided.) The following shall be required prior to the City's approval of the final development plan for the proposed antennae, RRHs and surge suppression unit installations on the tower: - a structural alteration permit for the tower modifications shall be obtained through the City's Development Services Department; - certification of the completion of the tower modifications prescribed by the April 20, 2018, structural analysis report and depicted in the Modification Design dated May 4, 2018, shall be provided to the Development Services Department; and - a third-party inspection of the tower modifications shall be conducted. Documentation of the inspection and inspection results shall be provided to the Development Services Department.
