The silt fence along the west side of the property and the diversion berm along the south side appear to be installed according to the plans. The temporary sediment trap # 2 appears to be installed according to the plans. There are areas along the east side of the property that need to be corrected. There are low areas that still need self fence installed and the diversion berm needs to be corrected to properly direct flow into the trap.

EROSION CONTROL INSPECTION FAILED There are areas on site where the erosion control devices have failed and need to be corrected. Clean silt and mud from the inlet protection devices and install them according to the City of Lee’s Summit standards. The inlet protection devices need to be blocked behind them to prevent clogging of the inlets and they need to extend far enough on both sides of the inlet to be effective. Silt fence or other acceptable measures need to be installed along SW KLINE AVE at the entrance of the silt to stop silt and mud from running down the sidewalk and on the existing residential properties. Photos of the wash out are uploaded to the system.

Your project is in violation of the Erosion and Sediment control policy. We received an email with pictures of erosion control problems on this site from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources. There appears to be a can of trash that was dumped in the road at a dead end. All the gutter buddys in the curb inlets need to be cleaned out of the mud and silt. Some of them are growing weeds in them. Please take care of these items as soon as possible. We will check back on Tuesday July 28. Please notify the builders to make sure their erosion control devices are in place.

There is an area along SW KLINE AVE where the silt fence was knocked down and is allowing silt and mud to wash onto the property behind it at 3200 SW RAGAN CT. Please clean the silt and mud from the property at 3200 SW RAGAN CT and make corrections to the erosion control devices as soon as possible to control the silt and mud from washing off site and onto the surrounding properties.
