Today Seal-O-Matic Paving Company is installing 6" of base aphalt. I have checked the temperatures of the ashpalt when it was going down and coming out of the trucks. About 2-3 trucks were running about 290 degrees. The pavement going down was about 265 -270, I asked that they get the asphalt a little hotter at the plant, after that the next trucks I checked were 275-285. All the surface for the parking lot has been completed including the saw- cuts they made by the approaches. They also did the striping. I talked to Kent and we agreed to let them park on the parking lot while they finish south end of the parking lot which includes installed a curb inlet and curbs and asphalt that will connect to the south end parking lot. They have to have a place for the other cars to go so they can get the work done.
