A business license shall be obtained from the City of Lee's Summit Development Center Department. Additionally, a cash deposit, performance bond, letter of credit or other security approved in content and form by the City Attorney in the face amount of $1,000 shall be provided to the Finance Department no later than June 16th. If the 16th falls on a weekend, then the required business license shall be obtained and the $1,000 security shall be provided no later than the Friday prior to the 16th.

The tent setup and seasonal retail sale of fireworks shall comply with current Missouri statutes and local ordinances. Before opening to the public, the tent must be inspected by the City of Lee's Summit Fire Department and Development Services. Scheduled inspections by calling (816) 969-1300. All inspections will be completed between 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Revised Statutes- Fireworks Regulations and City of Lee's Summit Code of Ordinances. Tent vendors and operators are responsible for being familiar with fireworks tent regulations in the Missouri Department of Fire Safety- Missouri Fireworks Regulations and local ordinances.
