2006 IFC 901.5- Installation acceptance testing. Fire detection and alarm systems, fire-extinguishing systems, fire hydrant systems, fire standpipe systems, fire pump systems, private fire service mains and all other fire protection systems and appurtenances thereto shall be subject to acceptance tests as contained in the installation standards and as approved by the fire code official. 2006 IBC 2406.1 - Human impact loads. Individual glazed areas, including glass mirrors, in hazardous locations as defined in Section 2406.3 shall comply with Sections 2406.1 through 2406.1.4.

Plumb - Required public toilet facilities

2006 IPC 403.4 - Required public toilet facilities. Customers, patrons and visitors shall be provided with public toilet facilities in structures and tenant spaces intended for public utilization. The accessible route to public facilities shall not pass through kitchens, storage rooms, closets or similar spaces. Employees shall be provided with toilet facilities in all occupancies. Employee toilet facilities shall be either separate or combined employee and public toilet facilities.

Section 1014.2 has exceptions which allow exiting through storage areas of an M occupancy when all of the conditions are met. One requirement is that the egree door can not be locked to prevent its use. Another is the the path be established by a minimum of a partial height wall
Action required - The plans do not clearly indicate the door hardware to be installed on door 7. Provide additional informaiton on the plans.
We have allowed the floor to be painted indicating that it is an egress path and can not be used for storage. in addtion to the striping shown, signage shall be provided indicating that it is an egress path and to be used for storage or be blocked. Provide additional information on the plans.

2006 IFC 505.1- Address numbers. New and existing buildings shall have approved address numbers, building numbers or approved building identification placed in a position that is plainly legible and visible from the street or road fronting the property. These numbers shall contrast with their background. In Multi-tenant commercial building where tenants have multiple entrances located on different sides of the building , each door shall be addressed. Address numbers shall be Arabic numerals or alphabet letters. Numbers shall be a minimum of 4 inches (102 mm) high with a minimum stroke width of 0.5 inch (12.7 mm).
