ICC/ANSI A117.1 2003 604.8.2 - Size. The minimum area of a wheel chair accessible compartment shall be 60 inches minimum in width measured perpendicular to the side wall, and 56 inches minimum in depth for wall hung water closets, and 59 inches minimum in depth for floor mounted water closets measured perpendicular to the rear wall. A room or space that is intended to be occupied at different times for different purposes shall comply with all of the requirements that are applicable to each of the purposes for which the room or space will be occupied.
