Fire Department- IFC901.4 Installation. Fire protection systems shall be maintained in accordance with the original installation standards for that system. Required systems shall be extended, altered, or augmented as necessary to maintain and continue protection whenever the building is altered, remodeled or added to. Alterations to fire protection systems shall be done in accordance with applicable standards. Action required: Adjust head temperatures as needed for the appliance being installed. Adjust sprinkler head coverage for any new obstructions.

It was mentioned that the this mechanical work is only a portion of a larger project. As permit applications for the additional work have not been submitted we do not know what the whole project scope is. A complete review of the information submitted can not be completed without know the full scope of the project. Action required - Additional information needs to be provided so that we can complete the review of the information submitted. At a minimum, we need a scope for the complete project and specifications on the equipment to be installed under the new hood. Additional information has been provided. This permit is for the mechanical work only. Additional permit(s) will be required for the remainder of the project.

    • The stamp will be placed in the upper right hand corner of the document. It is recommeded that this area, to the extent possible, be left blank so that no information is lost when the the stamp is applied.
