At such time the Village at View High development and Winterset Valley subdivision were coordinated such that Thoreau Drive and Village Park Drive aligned. Thoreau Dr. must be designed to allow for its extension west through the 2nd Plat of Village at View High in alignment and connection with Village Park Drive to Kessler Drive and View High Drive.

Sidewalks are shown on the cul-de-sac bulbs incorrectly. The City has obtained a definitive answer on how to terminate these sidewalks at the end of cul-de-sac bulbs, and the following guidelines should be followed: 1) an ADA-accessible ramp should be constructed, along with the subdivision improvements, prior to entering the curve of the cul-de-sac, 2) the sidewalk should enter in a straight -line fashion, and should not follow the right of way (i.e., it should enter the paved area "straight-on"), 3) no receiver ramp is required. As an example of what it should look like after making the changes, the sidewalk should be shown terminating at the north end of Lot 1478 along NW Thoreau Pl., and the south end of Lot 1481 on NW Thoreau Ln. If there are any questions on this configuration, please contact me for a sketch.
