Lee's Summit

The plan shows the water line along the middle of NW Murray Rd. Is this correct? Were as-built Record Drawings obtaiined and calls to Missouri One-Call made?

What is the restoration plan for Murray Road? This will need to be specifically shown on the plans, including paving, subgrade, and curb and gutter replacement.

A traffic control plan will need to be submitted within the engineering plan package. It will be acceptable to use our City of Lee's Summit standard "Traffic Control Details" available on our website at www.cityofls.net; however, they should be included as part of the engineering plan package.

A restoration plan for the parking lot was not shown on the plans. The plans need to show the specific actions which will take place to restore the pavement, including pavement thickness, base, and curb and gutter replacment.

A restoration plan for the parkway between the parking lot and Murray Road was not shown. It will be acceptable to simply provide a note stating that the parkway will be restored with sod.

A water valve (i.e., gate valve) will be needed on the public water main on the north side of the new cut-in tee.

A cut-in tee rather than a tapping sleeve should be specified on the plans.

The Engineer's Estimate of Probable Construction Costs appeared to be missing the following items: 1) street repair, 2) curb replacement, 3) subgrade preparation of the street, 4) traffic control, and 5) parkway restoration.

Please add a note to the plans stating that "...all construction shall follow the City of Lee's Summit Design and Construction Manual as adopted by Ordinance 5813. Where discrepancies exist between these plans and the Design and Construction Manual, the Design and Construction Manual shall prevail."

It is difficult to determine where the proposed fire line is located. Where is the north arrow? Where are the side streets in relation to the new fire line? Where is the parking lot in relation to the new fire line?

What is the size of the public water main? What is the type (i.e., PVC, ductile iron, etc.)? Please note on the plans.

Where is the right of way and/or easements in relation to the new fire line? It will be necessary to locate the new backflow vault outside the limits of the right of way or public easement.

Please specify that a cut-in tee be provided at the connection to the public water main.

Please show a gate valve on the plan view just prior to the backflow vault. This denotes the end of the public line.

If the parking lot is disturbed, what is the restoration plan? Please see the Unified Development Ordinance Article 12 for acceptable pavement thickness and base requirements if the pavement will be disturbed during construction of the fire line.

What is the restoration plan for the landscaping? Will the area be sodded?

Please confirm that the fire flows shown and other applicable design standards within the interior of the building are acceptable to the City of Lee's Summit Fire Department.

Please show a general grading plan around the new backflow vault.
