Contractor meet with Plan Engineer & manufacture and found that bends (15 & 35 degree bends) were off roughly 5 degrees overall. Plan Engineer determine that the tolerance was still acceptable. Contractor began the backfilling of 8'X8' RCB concrete storm sewer line 300. Compaction lifts were tested by Olson. Contractor continued backfilling throughtout the work day. An issue arouse about the feasability of the Sanitary Line encasement and the Toe Wall installation as planned. Contractor plan to meet @ 7:30 am 4/3/19 onsite with their Engineer to discuss a plan of action. I spoke with Casey Williams from Fogel Anderson and let him know that they needed to stop work and remove all the rip rap that was installed as a crossing in the Little Blue River. As per an application that was filled out there is not suppose to be any work in the Flood way at this time until all permits have been approved. We have also requested that the flood way be staked out and marked in some way so we know that work is not being done in it. The contractor said he was going to keep working and try to get things figure out in the next few days. I spoke with Dan and he called Casey and he has now agreed to remove crossing and he is having a surveyor come out to stake the flood way. Steve Robbins 04/03/2019 4:52 PM

Clarkson Construction Company installed approximately 120' of 72" RCP storm pipe on Line 500. Tree and brush were cleared where needed and gravel bedding was placed to install line. Ground condtion were a little murky. Olsen was onsite for soil testing earlier in the work day. Issues came up about the contractor operating in the floodway. It was found that the contractor was in violation. Casey Williams Senior Superintentdent Fogel Anderson Construction (Primary Contractor) was told that operation were to cease until violation of plans were corrected. Talked with Casey Williams of Fogel-Anderson Construction along with my Supervisor Steve Robbins. We reinterated that no work or construction should be done in the Floodway As per Lee's Summit permit until all related permits and associated entities have been approved and cleared. Casey Williams was instructed to remove construction bridge which is in the Floodway. Please refer to Steve Robbins Site Visit 4/3/19 and 4/4/19. I took additional pictures and video of construction bridge that is in violation of Permit that no work or construction be done in the Floodway at this time.

Contractor contacted @ 2:25pm via cellphone they had completely removed unauthorized bridge. Contractor is aware that all excavation must be placed outside the Floodway. Contractor was staking Storm lines 300, 500, and 700 to mark the Floodway boundaries while I was onsite. Full clearance will be given when after I visual inspect site 4/8/19 to ensure full compliance with permit regulation. I took pictures and video of site 90% of the removal was done when left the site at 2:00pm.

The contractors will not be working in the floodway and when they are near the floodway it will be staked and marked so it is clear as to where they need to be. Going forward no work will be done in the flood way and no equipment will be used or parked in the flood way. When working close to the flood way it will be clearly surveyed and stakes. Overview of project continual blasting of rock & soil on the highest elevated hill. The excavated materials is redistributed to raise the elevation of site as per plans. Rock is being jack hammer to create stabilzed subgrade.The soil density is being tested by third party inspection Ollson. The utilities that are mark public or private require different amounts for bonding and responsibilities. Met with Westhues Electrical Company to inspect conduit and ground wires on River Road for junction boxes to be installed for street lights and Evergy.

Contractor applied 6” of rock (Dense Compacted Aggregate) over Geogrid. 7/20/21 Tuesday Continued installation of Geogrid on View High Pkwy as per project plans. 7/21/21 Wednesday Clarkson Gregg Crew continued installing underdrains on View High Pkwy. (Side note: I wittiness electrical contractor crossing road on View High Pkwy. I talked with Kevin of Fogel-Anderson about the width bucket, depth and aggregate that was used as backfilled. He informed me that at least one of the excavation as done with flow-able fill. The back hoe bucket was change to meet the specifications. So, as-per Casey Williams Project Manager & Kevin Project Manager Assistant they approve Westhues Electric . Jamie Ryan of Westhues Electric talked with about his subcontractors work and he said they got a bigger (24”) bucket today so, they could use aggregate in their excavation and he was given these direction by Fogel-Anderson.) 7/26/21 Monday (Clarkson Greg Crew) Contractor was installing View High Pkwy Geogrid & aggregate on View High Pkwy. 7/28/21 Wednesday Contractor is work on adding aggregate over Geogrid on View High Drive & Pkwy to install curbs. 7/29/21 Thursday (Clarkson Street Crew - Chris Noyes Project Superintendent) Contractor continued to prepare streets for curb and asphalt pavement. Then continued to 8” DIP water line after Backflow Preventer which is Lees Summit’s water main. 7/29/21 Thursday (Clarkson Gregg Crew) Contractor installed 22.5 degree bend at Sta. 1+60, 1-6” LS FH at Sta. 2+00 , 45 degree bend at Sta. 3+03.30 on private Line C. The Line is 8” DIP locking restraint gasket water pipe. Contractor continues to work on installation of private line 12:00PM. 8/2/21 Monday (Clarkson Gregg Crew) Contractor continued installation of water line on River Road just before Sta. 5+00 (FH).     • pdf, jpg, xls, doc, xlsx, docx, dwg
  • All plans shall be to scale.
  • Recommended naming conventions:
    • Keep filename consistent.
    • Avoid the use of non-friendly filenames. (ex. k9dk38fj3.pdf)
    • Avoid inappropriate language in filenames.
  • Submitted documents will be stamped at the conclusion of the review.
    • The stamp will be placed in the upper right hand corner of the document. It is recommeded that this area, to the extent possible, be left blank so that no information is lost when the the stamp is applied.
