Brice Lawson 07/30/2018 8:27 AM On 7/27/18 Redford Construction informed me that they installed 56' of 8" sanitary main from MH-10 to the south. It appeared that the sanitary main is being bedded with clean rock. They were backfilling the road crossing in just south of MH-10. KC Testing was on site and let me know that compaction test results for the trench backfill are all within spec.

The Redford Construction crew performed the Hydro test on water lines # 4 & 5. Both lines are connected to Water line # 1 for The Reserve at Stoney Creek 3rd plat and all lines for both subdivisions were tested simultaneously. I observed the crew pressure up the water line to 150 psi and stayed on site while the line held for two hours. The test passed.

The Redford Construction crew completed the water system install. Today the crew installed the remainder of water line #3. The crew set the fire hydrant assembly and connected to the existing water line at station 1+14.80. The thrust blocks were poured and the crew will be back at a later date to backfill once the concrete sets up. The crew also completed the water line #2 install for The Manor at Stoney Creek 3rd Plat. The crew converted the temporary fire hydrant to a permanent assembly and connected to the existing main at station 0+97.89 Thrust blocks were poured and the crew will be back at a later date to backfill once the concrete sets up.

FAILED EROSION CONTROL INSPECTION. The two lots being built on have either insufficient or no erosion control measures in place and are allowing silt and mud to leave the sites and collect on the streets and in the storm water system. Please install proper erosion control measures for these lots, which includes sufficient construction entrances to avoid inspection denial and freezing of building permits. Additionally, the swale behind lots 86 - 90 along SW ALABASTER CIR has no erosion control measures installed and it appears that other foundation spoils have been placed in this area. With the heavy rains these spoils are washing onto the adjacent occupied residential lots and into the existing field inlets for this swale. This area needs to be addressed asap as it is changing the water flow directions as well as infiltrating the storm water collection system with silt. Photos of the area are uploaded to the system.
