Your project is in violation of the Erosion and Sediment control policy. Brice Lawson 07/20/2016 9:45 AM I spoke with Chris Bussen on site to go over the ESC issues that need to be addressed. I sent him an email with possible options that the contractor may want to consider to make corrections. Chris plans to go over this with the contractor at their next meeting. The issue is that more ESC devices need to be installed around the detention basin.

Brice Lawson 08/19/2016 10:13 AM I met with Rick Crider with Heartland to discuss the site. He stated that the detention pond is close to final grade and plans to install a silt fence today. He stated that they would be placing fertilizer seed and mulch on the detention basin in the near future. Lee Tharp with Heartland called me to discuss the ESC and he plans to have the ESC devices installed today as the forecast is calling for rain tonight. He stated that they will hydro seed the top of the east berm and the east slope of the detention basin in the near future.

Brice Lawson 08/25/2016 9:06 AM A section of silt fence has been added on the east side of the detention basin surrounding the drain culvert. There are swales installed on the north and south side of this silt fence with rock checks in the swales. These devices appear to be sufficient.

Establish proper vegetation in the bottom of the detention basin. There is a large amount of water that is holding in the detention basin. I met with Rick Crider to go over these issues. He plans figure out why the detention basin is not draining and to spread compost, seed and hydro mulch in the bottom of the detention basin and on the slopes of the berms surrounding the detention basin and compost pad. I informed him that this permit is valid until June and that extension can be granted upon written request.

It is not required to establish vegetation in the bottom of the detention basin as this is designed to be a wet detention basin.
