Action required: MEP subcontractors are required to be listed on permit. Provide company names of licensed MEP contractors. 4/1/24 - acknowledge in letter but list only included Atlas Mechanical which is not licensed with us. 4/19/24 - Atlas added but Bid Right and Unitad Service are not yet licensed.

2018 IBC 420.2 Separation walls. Walls separating dwelling units in the same building, walls separating sleeping units in the same building and walls separating dwelling or sleeping units from other occupancies contiguous to them in the same building shall be constructed as fire partitions in accordance with section 708. (see code for exceptions) Action required: Modify design to comply. 4/1/24 - Design modified to comply but more info required. Provide the following: - - **Penetrations in existing floor (assuming concrete) to be field verified.

2018 IBC 2902.2 Separate Facilities. Where plumbing fixtures are required, separate facilities shall be provided for each sex. 2018 423.3 Critical emergency operations. In areas where the shelter design wind speed for tornados in accordance with Figure 304.2(1) of ICC 500 is 250 mph, 911 call stations, emergency operation centers and fire, rescue, ambulance and police stations shall comply with Table 1604.5 as a Risk Category IV structure and shall be provided with a storm shelter constructed in accordance with ICC 500. Action required: Provide information/report/design/similar to demonstrate compliance or justification for omission. 4/1/24 - CMR received and is currently under review.

2018 IFC 901.2- Construction documents. The fire code official shall have the authority to require construction documents and calculations for all fire protection systems and to require permits be issued for the installation, rehabilitation or modification of any fire protection system. Construction documents for fire protection systems shall be submitted for review and approval prior to system installation. Provide shop drawings for review and approval.

Emergency power for illumination

2018 IFC 1008.3.1 & 3.2 Emergency power for lumination. The power supply for means of egress illumination shall normally be provided by the premises' electrical supply. In the event of power supply failure, an emergency electrical system shall automatically illuminate all of the following: 1. Aisles and unenclosed egress stairways in rooms and spaces that require two or mor means of egress. 2. Corridors, interior exit stairways and ramps and exit passageways in buildings required to have two or more exits. 3. Exterior egress components at other than their levels of exit discharge until exit discharge is accomplished for buildings required to have two or more exits. Provide emergency lighting over the outside of the egress doors. Verified at inspection.

Details of ceiling height and construction. 11. The interface of fire safety control functions. Provide shop drawings for review and approval.

Code analysis required

A code analysis shall be provided which includes but is not limited to occupancy type, occupant load, construction type, actual area, height and floors, allowable area, height and floors, and the codes to which the project is designed. Actions required: - Modify code info on G003 to show bunk areas as R2. (definition of Lodging not met - and this will make it consistent with last 2 stations) - Include basement in code analysis

2018 IBC 1209.2 Finish Materials. Walls, Floors and partitions in toilet and bathrooms shall comply with Sections 209.2.1 through 1209.2.4. 2018 1209.2.1 Floors and wall bases. In other than dwelling units, toilet, bathing and shower room floor finish materials shall have a smooth, hard, nonabsorbent surface. The intersections of such floors with walls shall have a smooth, hard, nonabsorbent vertical base that extends upward onto the walls not less than 4 inches. 2018 1209.2.2 Walls and partitions. Walls and partitions within 2 feet of service sinks, urinals and water closets shall have a smooth, hard, nonabsorbent surface, to a height of not less than 4 feet above the floor, and except for structural elements, the materials used in such walls shall be of a type that is not adversely affected by moisture. A registered design professional licensed by the State of Missouri shall prepare the construction documents. Where special conditions exist, the Building Official is authorized to require additional construction documents to be prepared by a registered design professional licensed by the State of Missouri.
