For additions to existing buildings that do not meet this standard, individual screens will be permitted, with the design subject to approval by the Director. ICC A117.1-2017 Section 304.3 Size. Turning spaces shall comply with Section 304.3.1 or 304.3.2. 304.3.1 Circular Space. 304.3.1.1 New Buildings and facilities. In new buildings and facilities, the turning space shall be a circular space with a 67-inch minimum diameter. (see code for information regarding allowed overlapping) Action required: Revise drawing to show that lower level restrooms will have 67" diameter turning spaces.

2018 IBC 1015.6 Mechanical equipment, systems and devices. Guards shall be provided where various components that require service are located within 10 feet of a roof edge or open side of a walking surface and such edge or open side is located more than 30 inches above the floor, roof or grade below. The guard shall extend not less than 30 inches beyond each end of such components. The guard shall be constructed so as to prevent the passage of a sphere 21 inches in diameter. 2018 IBC 1015.7 Roof access. Guards shall be provided where the roof hatch opening is located within 10 feet of a roof edge or open side of a walking surface and such edge or open side is located more than 30 inches above the floor, roof or grade below. The guard shall be constructed so as to prevent the passage of a sphere 21 inches in diameter. (see code for exception) Action required: Provide minimum 42" high guards at roof edge near condensing units and roof hatch.

2018 IBC 1003.6 Means of egress continuity. The path of egress travel along a means of egress shall not be interrupted by any building element other than a means of egress component as specified in this chapter. 2018 IMC 306.1 Access. Appliances, control devices, heat exchangers and HVAC system components that utilize energy shall be accessible for inspection, service, repair and replacement without disabling the function of a fire-resistance-rated assembly or removing permanent construction, other appliances, venting systems or any other piping or ducts not connected to the appliance being inspected, serviced, repaired or replaced. A level working space at least 30 inches deep and 30 inches wide (762 mm by 762 mm) shall be provided in front of the control side to service an appliance. 2018 IPC 916.3 Vent installation below the fixture flood level rim. The vent located below the flood level rim of the fixture being vented shall be installed as required for drainage piping in accordance with Chapter 7, except for sizing. The vent shall be sized in accordance with Section 906.2. The lowest point of the island fixture vent shall connect full size to the drainage system. The connection shall be to a vertical drain pipe or to the top half of a horizontal drain pipe. Cleanouts shall be provided in the island fixture vent to permit rodding of all vent piping located below the flood level rim of the fixtures. Rodding in both directions shall be permitted through a cleanout. Action required: Provide cleanout at both sides of loop vent.

2017 NEC Article 250.50 Grounding Electrode System. All Grounding electrodes as described in 250.52(A)(1) through (A)(7) that are present at each building or structure served shall be bonded together to form the grounding electrodes system. Where none of these grounding electrodes exist, one or more of the grounding electrodes specified in 250.52(A)(4) through (A)(8) shall be installed and used. (see code section for exception) Action required: Update riser diagram to show grounding to all available sources including building steel.
