Fire Department- Fire-protection or extinguishing system coverage, spacing and specifications shall be maintained accordance with recognized standards at all time. Such systems shall be extended, altered or augmented as necessary to maintain and continue protection whenever any building so equipped is altered, remondeled or added to. For the purpose of this section a food processing establishment shall include any building or portion thereof used for the processing of food but shall not include a dwelling unit. Codes Administration- No cold storageroom, cooling counter, compartment, receptacle, apurtenance, or device which is used, designed, or intended to be used for the storage or holding of food or drink and no dishwashing or culinary sink in any food preparation room which is used for soaking, washing, or preparing ready to serve food shall have any drain in connection therewith directly connected to any soil, waste, or vent pipe. Such equipment of fixtures shall be drained by means of indirect wast pipes, as defined in Chapter 1 of this Code, and all wastes drained by them shall discharge through an airgap into an open floor sink or other approved type receptor which is properly connected to the drainage system.
