When two or more exits are required from a room or area, exit signs shall be installed at the required exits from the room or area and where otherwise necessary to clearly indicate the direction of egress. 1991 Uniform Building Code Section3314.(a) An exit sign needs to be installed at the beginning of the hallway to clearly indicate the the rear exit to the occupants of the main room.

Codes Administration- The minimum corridor width shall not be less than 44 inches, except as specified herein. Corridors serving an occupant load of 49 or less shall not be less than 36 inches in width. (UBC Section 3305.(b)) The corridor can not reduce to less than 44 inches as shown where it turns at the restroom/breakroom.
