Extension cords shall only be utilized with portable appliances while such appliances are in use and shall only supply one portable appliance except for approved multi-plug extension cords. Extension cords shall be grounded when serving grounded appliances. Extension cords and multi-plug extension cords shall not be affixed to structures; extened through walls, ceilings, floors, under doors or floor coverings; or be subject to environmental or physical damage.
