Foundation plates or sills shall be bolted to the foundation wall with not less than 1/2 inch nominal diameter steel bolts embedded at least seven inches into the concrete or masonry and spaced not more than six feet apart. There shall be a minimum of two bolts per piece with one bolt not more than twelve inches of the end of each piece. A properly sized nut and washer shall be tightened on each bolt to the plate. (UBC Section 2907.(f)) Wood in contact with earth or concrete shall be treated wood. (UBC 2516 (c).

The exit sign located at the exit door from the building shall be moved to the east so that it is visible by the occupants to clearly show direction of egress. (See approved plans).
