Fire Department- Exit doors shall be operable from the inside without the use of a key or any special knowledge. Exit doors shall not be locked, chained, barred, latched or otherwise rendered unusable. All locking devices shall be of an approved type. (UFC Section 12.106.(c))

Fire Department- Portable fire extiguishers shall be installed in occupancies and locations as set forth in the Uniform Fire Code Standards and as required by the Chief. Correction
This plan review is based upon the plans that were submitted. As these plans did not include the existing offices it was not possible to review the entire tenant space. If upon inspection, violations are found do to the layout of the tenant space, they shall be corrected to meet all applicable codes.

All plumbing, electrical and mechanical work shall comply with the applicable codes adopted by the City of Lee's Summit. Any violations found by the inspector in the field shall be corrected in a manner that applies with the adopted codes.

Codes Administration- Except within individual dwelling units, guest rooms and sleeping rooms, exits shall be illuminated at any time the building is occupied with light having intensity of not less than 1 foot-candle at floor level. The power supply for exit illumination shall normally be provided by the premises' wiring system. In the event of its failure, illumination shall be automatically provided from an emergency system for group I, Division1.1 and 1.2 occupancies and for all other occupancies where the exiting system serves an occupant load of 100 or more. Emergency systems shall be supplied from storage batteries or an on-site generator system and the system shall be installed in accordance with the requirements of the Electrical Code.
