Codes Administration- The special inspector shall observe the work assigned for conformance, shall furnish inspection reports to the Codes Administration Department and the engineer or architect of record and shall submit a final signed report stating whether the work requiring special inspection was in conformance with the approved plans and applicable sections of this code. The final report shall be submitted prior to receiving a Certificate of Occupancy. (UBC Section 306.(c))
Correction

The Type I Kitchen Exhaust Hood Detail on sheet MP1.1 shows that the shaft inclosure is to be constructed out of 18 ga. galvanized or 1 hr fire rated gypsum board. Provide a code refrence as to the use of the 18 ga. galvanized or the method utilizing the 1 hr fire rated gypsum board will be required. 1991 UMC Section 2002.(d).
