Codes Administration - 2006 IBC 1012.5 - Handrail Extensions. Handrails shall return to a wall, guard or the walking surface or shall be continuous to the handrail of an adjacent stair flight or ramp run. At stairways where handrails are not continuous between flights, the handrails shall extend horizontally at least 12 inches beyond the top riser and continue to slope for the depth of one tread beyond the bottom riser. At ramps where handrails are not continuous between runs, the handrail shall extend horizontally above the landing 12 inches minimum beyond the top and bottom ramps.

Codes Administration - 2006 IBC 1013.1 Guards. Guards shall be located along open-sided walking surfaces, mezzanines, industrial equipment platforms, stairways, ramps and landings which are located more than 30 inches above the floor or grade below. Guards shall be adequate in strength and attachment in accordance with Sectoin 1607.7. Guards shall also be located along glazed sides of stairways, ramps and landings that are located more than 30 inches above the floor or grade below where the glazing provided does not meet the strength and attachment requirements in Section 1607.7. In addition, guards are required at retaining walls over 30 inches above grade when walking surfaces are within ten (10) feet of the high side of the retaining wall. New and existing buildings shall have approved address numbers, building numbers or approved building identification placed in a position that is plainly legible and visible from the street or road fronting the property. These numbers shall contrast with their background. In Multi-tenat commercial building where tenants have multiple entrances located on different sides of the building , each door shall be addressed. Address numbers shall be Arabic numerals or alphabet letters. Numbers shall be a minimum of 4 inches (102 mm) high with a minimum stroke width of 0.5 inch (12.7 mm).

Codes Administration - 2006 IBC 1008.1.4 - Floor elevation. There shall be a floor or landing on each side of a door. Such floor or landing shall be at the same elevation on each side of the door. Landings shall be level except for exterior landings, which are permitted to have a slope not to exceed 0.25 unit vertical in 12 units horizontal (2-percent slope).

Codes Administrations - 2006 IBC 1009.3 - Stair treads and risers. Stair riser heights shall be 7 inches maximum and 4 inches minimum. Stair tread depths shall be 11 inches minimum. The riser height shall be measured vertically between the leading edges of adjacent treads. The tread depth shall be measured horizontally between the vertical planes of the foremost projection of adjacent treads and at a right angle to the tread's leading edge. Winder treads shall have a minimum tread depth of 11 inches measured at a right angle to the tread's leading edge at a point 12 inches from the side where the treads are narrower and a minimum tread depth of 10 inches.

Codes Administration - 2006 IBC 1009.3.3 - Profile. The radius of curvature at the leading edge of the tread shall be not greater than 0.5 inch. Beveling of nosings shall not exceed 0.5 inch. Risers shall be solid and vertical or sloped from the underside of the leading edge of the tread above at an angle not more than 30 degrees from the vertical. The leading edge (nosings) of treads shall project not more than 1.25 inches beyond the tread below and all projections of the leading edges shall be of uniform size, including the leading edge of the floor at the top of a flight.

Handrails with a circular cross-section shall have an outside diameter of at least 1.25 inches and not greater than 2 inches or shall provide equivalent graspability. Fire Department- 2006 IFC 2206.2.3 Above-ground tanks located outside, above grade.
Above-ground tanks shall not be used for the storage of Class I, II or IIIA liquid motor fuels except as provided by this section.
1. Above-ground tanks used for outside, above-grade storage of Class I liquids shall be listed and labeled as protected above-ground tanks and be in accordance with Chapter 34. Such tanks shall be located in accordance with Table 2206.2.3.
2. Above-ground tanks used for above-grade storage of Class II or IIIA liquids are allowed to be protected above-ground tanks or, when approved by the fire code official, other above-ground tanks that comply with Chapter 34. Tank locations shall be in accordance with Table 2206.2.3.
3. Tanks containing fuels shall not exceed 12,000 gallons (45 420 L) in individual capacity or 48,000 gallons (181 680 L) in aggregate capacity. Installations with the maximum allowable aggregate capacity shall be separated from other such installations by not less than 100 feet (30 480 mm).
4. Tanks located at farms, construction projects, or rural areas shall comply with Section 3406.2.

It shall be the duty of the permit holder to provide access to and means for inspection of such work for any inspections that are required by this code.
