CA - The disposal of demolition waste is regulated by the Department of Natural Resources under Chapter 260 RSMO. Such waste, in types and quantities established by the department, shall be taken to a demolition landfill or a sanitary landfill for disposal.

CA - 2000 IRC 401.3 - Surface drainage shall be diverted to a storm sewer conveyance or other approved point of collection so as to not create a hazard. Lots shall be graded so as to drain surface water away from foundation walls. The grade away from foundation walls shall fall a minimum of 6 inches (152 mm) within the first 10 feet (3048 mm). 2000 IRC, Section 401.3

CA - 2000 IRC 403.1.6 - Foundation sills and exterior wall sole plates shall be anchored to the foundation with anchor bolts spaced a maximum of 6 feet on center. Anchor bolts shall be located within 12 inches from the end of each plate section. Anchor bolts shall be 1/2 inch in diameter and shall extend a minimum of 7 inches into the concrete. A nut and washer shall be tightened on each bolt to the plate. 2000 IRC, Section 403.1.6

CA - 2000 IRC 403.7.3 - The top of any exterior foundation shall extend above the elevation of the street curb or approved drainage device a minimum of 12" (twelve inches) plus 2%. Alternative elevations are permitted subject to approval of the building official, provided it can be demonstrated that required drainage to the point of discharge and away from the structure is provided at all locations on site. 2000 IRC, Section 403.7.3

CA - 2000 IRC 405.1 - Drains shall be provided around all concrete or masonry foundations that retain earth and enclose habitable or useable space. Drainage tiles, gravel drains or perforated pipe drainage systems shall be installed at or below the area to be protected and discharge by gravity or mechanical means. Perforated pipe shall be placed upon at least 2 inches of washed gravel or crushed rock and covered with not less than 6 inches of the same material. (2000 IRC, Section 405.1)

CA - 2000 IRC 703.9 - Foundation walls shall extend above the finished grade a minimum of 4 inches where masonry veneer is used and a minimum of 6 inches elsewhere. CA - LSCO 7-122 - Any excavation for foundations and/or footings of buildings and structures shall be backfilled within twenty-eight (28) days from the date of permit issuance unless otherwise approved by the building official.

CA - LSCO 7-128 (a)1 - Retaining walls which are over 4 feet in height measured from the bottom of the footing to the top of the wall of the wall shall be designed and sealed by a professional engineer or architect registered in the State of Missouri. In addition, the building official may waive the requirements for a permit or engineered drawings for walls over 4 feet in height if it is deemed unnecessary to require such submittals due to the location and type of wall to be installed.

CA - LSCO 7-134 - Every permit issued shall become invalid unless the work on the site authorized by such permit is commenced within 180 days after its issuance, or if the work authorized on the site by such permit is suspended or abandoned for a period of 180 days after the time the work is commenced. Permits for exterior work, i.e., walls, fences, decks, patios, patio covers and similar type work requiring permits, as well as permits for residential room additions and remodels shall be limited to 180 days duration. Permits for other new construction shall be limited to one-year duration. The building official official is authorized to grant, in writing, one or more extensions of time, for periods not more than 180 days each.

CA - LSCO 7-168 A - Footing and foundation inspections shall be made after excavations for footings are complete and any required reinforcing steel is in place. For concrete foundations, any required forms shall be in place before inspection. Materials for the foundation shall be on the job, except where concrete is ready mixed in accordance with ASTM C 94; the concrete need not be on the job.

CA - LSCO 7-162 - It shall be the duty of the holder of the permit or their duly authorized agent to notify the building official when work is ready for inspection. It shall be the duty of the permit holder to provide access to and means for inspection of such work for any inspections that are required by this code. Inspection requests shall be made in advance and in accordance with the most current written policies of the Codes Administration Department.

CA - LSCO7-168 - The building official is authorized to issue a temporary certificate of occupancy before the completion of the entire work covered by the permit, provided that such portion or portions shall be occupied safely. The building official shall set a time period during which the temporary certificate of occupancy is valid.

CA - LSCO 7-930 - All dwellings shall have a controlled method of water disposal from the roofs that will collect and discharge all roof drainage to the ground at least 3 feet from the foundation walls or to an approved drainage system.
