doors shall be marked by an approved exit sign readily
visible from any direction of egress travel. Access to exits
shall be marked by readily visible exit signs in cases where the exit or the path of egress travel is not immediately
visible to the occupants. Exit sign placement shall be such that no point in an exit access corridor is more than 100 feet (30 480 mm) from the nearest visible exit sign.

Fire Department- The means of egress, including the exit discharge, shall be illuminated at all times the building space served by the means of egress isoccupied.
The power supply for means of egress illumination shall normally be provided by the premise’s electrical supply.
In the event of power supply failure, an emergency
system shall automatically illuminate all of the following
areas:
1. Exit access corridors, passageways, and aisles in
rooms and spaces which require two or more
means of egress.
2. Exit access corridors and exit stairways located in
buildings required to have two or more exits.
3. Interior exit discharge elements, as permitted in
Section 1006.1, in buildings required to have two
or more exits.
4. The portion of the exterior exit discharge immedi-ately
adjacent to exit discharge doorways in buildings required to have two or more exits.

CA - LSCO 7-134 - Every permit issued shall become invalid unless the work on the site authorized by such permit is commenced within 180 days after its issuance, or if the work authorized on the site by such permit is suspended or abandoned for a period of 180 days after the time the work is commenced. Permits for exterior work, i.e., walls, fences, decks, patios, patio covers and similar type work requiring permits, as well as permits for residential room additions and remodels shall be limited to 180 days duration. Permits for other new construction shall be limited to one-year duration. The building official official is authorized to grant, in writing, one or more extensions of time, for periods not more than 180 days each.

CA - LSCO 7-162 - It shall be the duty of the holder of the permit or their duly authorized agent to notify the building official when work is ready for inspection. It shall be the duty of the permit holder to provide access to and means for inspection of such work for any inspections that are required by this code. Inspection requests shall be made in advance and in accordance with the most current written policies of the Codes Administration Department.

CA - LSCO7-168 - The building official is authorized to issue a temporary certificate of occupancy before the completion of the entire work covered by the permit, provided that such portion or portions shall be occupied safely. The building official shall set a time period during which the temporary certificate of occupancy is valid.
