Codes Administration - Item 7 in the Code Analysis on sheet A0.1 shows an increase in the allowable area of the A2.1 occupancy for the sprinkler system. Per Section 506 (c) 3, the allowable area increases for a sprinkler system can not be used if the same system is used to reduce the construction type per section 508. As Item 3 in the Code Analysis states that the sprinkler system is being used to reduce the construction type it can not be used to increase the allowable area.
