As Item 3 in the Code Analysis states that the sprinkler system is being used to reduce the construction type it can not be used to increase the allowable area.

Codes Administration - Item 3 in the Code Analysis on sheet A0.1 states that one of the occupancy types for this structure is an A2. Per Table 5-A, an A2 occupancy includes a legitimate stage. As this building does not have a legitimate stage it would be classified as an A2.1 occupancy.
