Correction

Codes Administration- Erosion control shall be provided in conformance with Article VIII, Section VIII(c) & (d) and details 48 and 48A of the City of Lee's Summit Design and Construction Manual. Erosion control devices shall be installed and maintained during all phases of the construction process. Failure to provide or maintain erosion control may result in an issuance of a stop work order which is authorized by Article I, Section XXIV.

Codes Administration- The ground immediately adjacent to the foundation shall be sloped away from the building not less than 1 inch per 12 inches for a minimum distance of 6 feet measured perpendicular to the face of the wall or an approved alternate method of diverting water away from the foundation shall be used. Consideration shall be given to possible additional settlement of the backfill when establishing final ground level adjacent to the foundation. (UBC Appendix Section 2920(b).

Codes Administration- Foundation plates or sills shall be bolted to the foundation wall with not less than 1/2 inch nominal diameter steel bolts embedded at least seven inches into the concrete or masonry and spaced not more than six feet apart. There shall be a minimum of two bolts per piece with one bolt not more than twelve inches of the end of each piece. A properly sized nut and washer shall be tightened on each bolt to the plate. (UBC Section 2907.(f))

Codes Administration- Work shall not be done beyond the point indicated in each successive inspection without first obtaining the approval of the Building Official. The Building Official, upon notification, shall make the requested inspections and shall either indicate that portion of the construction is satisfactory as completed, or shall notify the permit holder or an agent of the permit holder wherein the same fails to comply with this code. Any portions which do not comply shall be corrected and such portion shall not be covered or concealed until authorized by the Building Official. (1991 Uniform Building Code, Section 305.(d).)
