Codes Administration- The special inspector shall observe the work assigned for conformance, shall furnish inspection reports to the Codes Administration Department and the engineer or architect of record and shall submit a final signed report stating whether the work requiring special inspection was in conformance with the approved plans and applicable sections of this code. The final report shall be submitted prior to receiving a Certificate of Occupancy. (UBC Section 306.(c))

(Lee's Summit Code of Ordinances, Section 28-24.) It is the general contractors responsiblity to make sure that all the trades on their project are licensed with the City of Lee's Summit.

Fire Department- A control shall be provided that will allow the pump to operate only when a dispensing nozzle is removed from its bracket or normal position with respecat to the dispensing unit and the switch on the dispensing unit is manually activated. This control shall also stop the pump when all nozzles have been returned, either to their brackets or to the normal nondispensing position. Electrical conditions shall also comply with the following: 1. A clearly labeled, manually operated pump master switch shall be provided in an approved location within 75 feet of, but not nearer than 15 feet to, any dispenser. Where such master switch is not visable from all dispensers, the location therof shall be indicated by approved signs, 2. Signs identifying the pump master switch shall be labeled EMERGENCY PUMP SHUTOFF, and 3. The master switch on all individual pump circuits switches shall be set in the "off" position before closing the motor vehicle fuel-dispensing station for buisness at any time.

The most recent submittal indicated two conflicting details.

Codes Administration- Marine or motor vehicle fuel-dispensing stations including canopies and supports over pumps shall be of noncombustible, fire-retardant wood or of one-hour fire-resistive construction. The new conopy shall be one-hour construction within 20 feet of the property line. (Section 702.C).

Codes Administration- It is Codes Administrations understanding that: 1) A perimeter stud wall will be constructed with insulation and sheetrock, as the existing conditions had sheetrock directly applied to the block wall with no insulation. 2) All interior partions shown in the plans submitted are new construciton, and non-loadbearing. 3) All roof top mechanical equipment is being relocated. There is no new equipment that will be installed as indicated in the plans submitted. 4) The north and west exterior doors are new, and the south doors are existing.

PLANNING & DEVELOPMENT - The issuance of the permit shall not constitute approval of any sign shown on the site plan or building elevations. Sign permits shall be obtained for all signs prior to installation.

PLANNING & DEVELOPMENT - Revised elevations of the rooftop screening shall be submitted. The elevations shall include the material and color of the proposed screen. These screens shall be coordinated with the appearance of the building.

Extension cords and multi-plug extension cords shall not be affixed to structures; extened through walls, ceilings, floors, under doors or floor coverings; or be subject to environmental or physical damage.
